Our Mike mug is a traditional round wheel thrown stoneware pottery mug with a glaze treatment that combines glazed and unglazed surfaces so each mug has its own individual feel. The round shape of the bottom portion of the mug helps to keep drinks hot longer. We were looking for a rounder style for the hands on mugs when we invented this one. Jim designed the shorter rounder stoneware mug and Cindy said it has to have a belly button and here it is. A handle less mug everyone loves to hold. It has proven popular with everyone from tots on up. As with all our stoneware it is dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe and glazes are all non toxic. This example is shown in Raven Wing glaze.
