From our location on the west end of historic Jasper Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta,Canada, we are within easy walking distance of several other art galleries and the High Street. As new members of the 124th Street business district we are proud to carry on the production of handcrafted Alberta stoneware pottery as we have been doing since 1995. Here on our web site you will find not only a catalogue of our pottery from the studio, but other select handcrafted gift items from our gallery as well. We now feature an ever changing collection of local and imported art and handcrafted items not only in the store but also here on our web site. Sculpture from local artist Shumba Ash and African sculpture from Zimbabwe. Romanian art glass, glassware and Braden Hammond glass jewellery and art, Phoenician glass from the Middle East, and original paintings from Alberta artists, are available here. Whether shopping for a special gift or personally, you owe it to your self to stop in. We offer an eclectic collection of items you will not find anywhere else. You can shop and select online from many of the items in our store, and rest assured we will deliver your choices in a timely manner as we have been doing with our pottery since we first opened our site in 2000. Out of the Fire Studio is an operating pottery studio in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Cindy Clarke has been a potter for over thirty years and she believes the handcrafted pottery you shop for should be used,not just set up on a shelf to be another dust collecting ornament, so she takes the time to finish edges so they are chip resistant, pot bottoms are trimmed with a "foot" for appearance and sanded smooth to protect your table, and the handcrafted pottery is thrown heavily enough to stand up to years of day to day usage. We work very hard to give you a quality product which will stand the test of time. All of our handcrafted stoneware pottery is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe and is shipped with a "stoneware pottery care"card with tips on looking after each piece.
